Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson

The Reverends Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, while visiting an elementary school class, were talking to the kids about words and their meanings.
The teacher asks the men if they would like to lead the discussion of the word "tragedy". So Rev. Jackson does so.
one little boy stood up and said, " if my friend is playing hockey in the road and someone hits him with their car and kills him, that would be a tragedy."
"No," says Rev. Jackson, "that would be considered an accident"
another student says, "If a bus carrying 50 children drove over a cliff and killed everyone inside, that would be a tragedy".
"I'm afraid not," explains Reverend Al, "that's what we would call a great loss."
The room goes silent and no one else volunteers. Reverend Al searches the room and asks, "Isn't there anyone who can give me an example of a tragedy?"
