A 10-year-old boy goes into the confessional booth for the first time and closes the door behind him. But it's dark, so he leaves it open a little. The priest opens up the little door and asks him why the door to the booth is open. "I'm afraid of the dark" replies the boy. The priest replies "All right, what would you like to confess?"

The next week, the same boy comes home from school early, and is snooping around in his parents' bedroom, when he hears his mother come home with someone. Realizing he doesn't have time to get out of the room, he proceeds to the closet to hide, and closes the door, leaving the door slightly open so it doesn't get totally dark.

His mother, and the man with her, come into the bedroom, take off their clothes, and make wild love in the bed. The boy hears a car pull up in the driveway.

The man who was screwing his mother's socks off makes a dash for the closet as the boy's father comes into the house and makes his way into the bedroom. However, he closes the closet door all the way.

"Hey," the boy says to the man, "Could you leave that open just a little bit? I'm afraid of the dark..."

"Oh, not this again!" replies the man, whose voice the boy recognizes as the priest.
