The Wedding

After attending her church for several years, Wendy and Dan finally plan their wedding.

About a week before, Wendy starts to get nervous, so she goes and asks her pastor for advice on how to get over these nerves.
Her pastor says to her, "Now Wendy, you've been a faithful patron of our church for many years, your parents got married here also. When the time comes for you to walk down the aisle, I want you to focus on it, and nothing else, this will help you be calm while walking down the aisle. Then, when your at the end of the pews, focus on the altar. Remember how you and your family came to the alter and prayed for all the wonderful things you have had happen in your life. This will help you be calm as you approach the altar. Then, when you are there, focus on Dan, think about the wonderful journey that the two of you are about to embark on, and all the joy that you will be in your life together. This will help you be calm for the ceremony."

Wendy thanked her pastor and went about her wedding day plans.

When the day came, though, she was even more nervous than ever before, but she thought of the advice that the pastor had given her. She chants, just under her breath the steps that he had told her. She approaches the aisle, then the altar, then her husband to be, all while the wedding guest hear her saying, "Aisle, altar, hymn. Aisle, altar, hymn"
