Established in 1937, the Charles Howard's Santa Claus School still exists today although now operating out of Michigan

Back then, signing up for the five day course cost about 75 bucks
4.
If you successfully completed the course, you received a Santa certificate that enabled you to get jobs at local department stores
5.
The training was vigorous
6.
And certainly tested their mettle
7.
But who couldn't love all this Christmas cheer?
