Wacky Sitcom Neighbors
Sitcoms have used neighbor characters as a narrative crutch for decades. Take a character that's slightly dumber than your already idiotic protagonist, give them an utterly ridiculous name, and you're golden.
Flintstones - Barney Rubble: kind of boring other than having the hotter cartoon wife, betty. I just liked the caption on this pic of the kooky Christian Baldwin brother from the live action flop.
