The group Improv Everywhere took the opportunity to turn the humid hell of the 34th Street Herald Square station into a luxurious paradise.

Complete with lemon and lime-infused water, towel service, sauna benches, hot stone massage and a makeshift "steam room," the improv group turned the subway platform into a midscale spa.

The crew set up a sign listing the pop-up spa's services on the subway platform, which resembled to the subway system's emergency signage, as well as magnets to turn "34 Street" into "34 Spa."

Subway riders were encouraged to join in the fun, which only lasted for about an hour.

Some intrepid travelers actually did join in, getting hot stone massages and sipping infusing water as the N, Q and R trains whizzed by every few minutes.

Charlie Todd, the creator of Improv Everywhere, said that he got the idea from the extreme heat in subway cars when the air conditioning breaks.
