George Bush Sr. Comments on UFO's

In an effort to help his son Jeb’s, shaky presidential campaign, George Bush Sr. has been doing some campaigning. During a recent Q & A session in Orlando last week, the former president said something that dropped a few jaws.

Oddly enough, it is not the first time George Bush Sr has had a controversial opinion on the UFO subject as a similar incident occurred on March 7, 1988, during a trip to a George Bush for President Rally in Rogers, Arkansas. The to-be president was then asked, in the advent that he became president, if he would tell Americans the truth about the existence of UFOs, to which Bush replied: “I am very careful in public life about dealing with classified information” he told the reporter. -

Adam Guelch, a member of the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), asked the former president when the US government would reveal the truth about UFOs. The response from George H.W. Bush was, “Americans can’t handle the truth.” -

The question was quickly side swiped and damage control was done. There has been some speculation that at 91, the former president may not be all there anymore. “At the venerable age of 91, it is quite normal to suffer from a loss of cognitive functions. Clear symptoms are a difficulty to express yourself coherently, loss of memory, dementia. This is possibly the root cause for the awkward comments” explains neurologist John O’Briar.
