A couple of days ago, I was working out at a gym that I'm a member of. Obviously I see plenty of steroid-abusing loud-mouthed meatheads here, but I can usually ignore them because I'm listening to my iPod. But on this particular day, a guy paused during his workout, took his shirt off, and started posing in front of a mirror. I was very close to bursting out in laughter but had to restrain myself because 1) the guy could easily kick my ass if he wanted to and 2) I think it would hurt his feelings because he took it so seriously. Has anyone else had a memorable experience with a meathead?

Some people just don't get Sacha Baron Cohen's humor

When Borat came out, there were people calling the film racist, homophobic, anti-semetic, misogynist, and that it made fun of foreigners. They didn't understand that just because the character may have those prejudices, it doesn't mean that Sacha Cohen has similar beliefs. In fact, what Cohen was doing was ingenious. By having his character say such outrageous things, it allows the interviewee to loosen up and share their opinions.

So it doesn't surprise me that these same people are bitching about Bruno being offensive to gay people when in fact Cohen is making fun of people's homophobia (on top of how shallow the fashion industry is). I don't think his humor is that hard to get. Some people just aren't intelligent enough to understand it.
