It's time all the sheep in this country... realized that there is no shortage of fuel. Only a shortage of revenue that this once great Country owes to 3rd parties. There was no [leak] that sparked the pump crisis at your local supermarkets... Only a calculated game plan that made the population of sheep go buy their fuel and store it. How silly I wonder do all these little Baa Lambs feel now... Tomorrow I will go fill up and contemplate how this wonderful Government of our Beautiful Country, are now charging nearly 50% more on revenue than they were 4 years ago, yet still need to cause panic buying to pay their bills... For those who disbelieve... Fuel sales peaked yesterday at 80%...above the average daily expectancy... Our debt to 3rd world countries was exonerated...and we can still get fuel on tick for a while... So until the next time the coffers are running a little low... I wont have a moan... Gld...2012...

Something to think about this 4th of July...

Have you ever wondered what happened to the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence?

Five signers were captured by the British as traitors and tortured before they died.

Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned.

Two lost their sons serving in the Revolutionary Army, another had two sons captured.

Nine of the 56 fought and died from wounds or hardships of the Revolutionary War.

They signed and they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor.

What kind of men were they?

Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists. Eleven were merchants, nine were farmers and large plantation owners; men of means, well educated. But they signed the Declaration of Independence knowing full well that the penalty would be death if they were captured.

Carter Braxton of Virginia, a wealthy planter and trader, saw his ships swept from the seas by the British Navy. He sold his home and properties to pay his debts, and died in rags.

Thomas McKeam was so hounded by the British that he was forced to move his family almost constantly. He served in the Congress without pay, and his family was kept in hiding. His possessions were taken from him, and poverty was his reward.

Vandals or soldiers looted the properties of Dillery, Hall, Clymer, Walton, Gwinnett, Heyward, Ruttledge, and Middleton.

At the battle of Yorktown, Thomas Nelson, Jr., noted that the British General Cornwallis had taken over the Nelson home for his headquarters. He quietly urged General George Washington to open fire. The home was destroyed, and Nelson died bankrupt.

Francis Lewis had his home and properties destroyed. The enemy jailed his wife, and she died within a few months.

John Hart was driven from his wife's bedside as she was dying. Their 13 children fled for their lives. His fields and his gristmill were laid to waste. For more than a year, he lived in forests and caves, returning home to find his wife dead and his children vanished. A few weeks later, he died from exhaustion and a broken heart.

Norris and Livingston suffered similar fates.

Such were the stories and sacrifices of the American Revolution. These were not wild-eyed, rabble-rousing ruffians. They were soft-spoken men of means and education. They had security, but they valued liberty more.

Standing tall, straight, and unwavering, they pledged: "For the support of this declaration, with firm reliance on the protection of the divine providence, we mutually pledge to each other, our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor."

They gave the American people a free and independent America. The history books never told you a lot about what happened in the Revolutionary War. They didn't fight just us...the British. They were in fact... British subjects at that time and thus they fought theirs and our own government! ...

Thenceforth the country has flourished... As with all countries it still has many problems... but it still remains the cornerstone and guardian of a civilised world... I am a "British Citizen" that wishes we could actually have the strength to do what those brave men did... I personally would give anything and everything to be freed from these shackles...

What is truth.....?

What is honesty.?

In which world do I really dwell...

I find myself in somewhat a dilemma....

I have always walked the path of understanding, I never judge people for their actions. Not even when their actions have reactions upon my own life.

Recently a friend of mine was exposed as a person they were, in real life not..

I pondered this dilemma for a while and it was my decision to forgive them...

This decision however did not seem to go down to well with a few people. One person in particular whom, I'm sure if they are reading this will realise that it is themself that this blog is aimed at...

I have a good friend on here who I thought understood me. I realise now that they never understood me at all. I'm a simple man, I work hard and I have complete faith in the goodness of everybody I meet, be it here in the virtual world or in real life. I will never apologise for being this way, not even if it means my goodfriend never speaks to me again.

There are certain lines I believe should never be crossed when it comes to trust....and I feel slightly hurt that my friend has no trust in my judgement.

I hope with all my heart that this is a minor setback to my friendship with you..but I will never apologise for forgiving someone....

I am pretty sure that the vast majority of "EBW" is now aware of the "EGGSPOSE"

It was a shock to me and I mean this in no small measure, that the friend I had chatted to for such a long time here on "EBW" was so unceremoniously "EGGSPOSED"

Shock, in so far as:- Hey, we talked..[virtually] We laughed together, we shared things, we hurt together...... Jeez, we've even cried together.

So, the question is.... What do we have here..?

I found out from another good friend of mine here on "EBW" that "EggOnlyEgg" was not whom she appeared to be..... "SHOCK/HORROR"

I guess I just believed everyone on-line was who they claimed to be.... Male/Female, Fat/Thin, Gorgeous/Ugly....etc..

Well, fortunately I was one of the 90+% of people here on "EBW" who was not quite so gullible.....

My feelings towards "EGG" have in no way changed. I still feel secure in the fact that feelings and thoughts that I have shared with her will forever remain private, just as much as the things she shared with me will remain so...

I care not, that "EGG" wanted to remain anonymous yet portray herself in some vivid way to others here on "EBW"... I care not, that some people are disturbed by any insecurities they have and feelings of being violated by untruths....

I care for the freedom of any person to be whomsoever they want to be and the freedom of this virtual "EBW" which gives so many people.... so many hopes.

For many of you "Newbies" here on "EBW", many who won't yet have met "Egg". This is a fine woman who set the trend for "Female Features".... A very rare thing here on "EBW" in the early days.

I have nestled this"Egg" from a newbie and watched her grow, she started slow and on a long hard road in such a pre-dominately male "EBW" yet she stood firm and strong and battled on, she fought the good fight and truly earned the respect of myself and many other old-timers with some superb uploads and some damn good persistence for the good of "EBW"

I've had a lot of people lately......Messaging me about the instability of eBaumsWorld and asking if the " New Site " ....[http://www.ebaum.tv/] is the way to go from hereon..... I couldn't possibly answer all your "pm's" individually so I was hoping you could maybe read this blog about the situation...... eBaumsWorld has been a great site......even from the early days.....I know that.. I've been here a lot longer than most.....maybe a lot longer than is possibly healthy.....lol. When I say "Great" I mean in the sense eBaum was never afraid to post stuff which other sites such as:" YouTube, Metacafe,Break "......to name a few would even consider....WTF..... The " Internet " is ....I'm sorry.... I will re-phrase that....." WAS " as in:" WAS meant to be "...... a way to portray information.....Information that the masses would never get to see... For reasons such as: Politcal Corectness etc..... eBaum stood strong and never gave in..... He was taken to court and it cost him thousands and thousands but he still gave you all his view of the world..... I personally hate the guy.....lol. He stole a great deal of my stuff off me and my friends......and tried to pass it as his own..... Fortunately, the real players resided in a higher part of eBaumsWorld.... a part where we all could see who and when submitted the most important stuff....lol

Anyway..... I'm digressing.... Sorry, I just got caught up in that EBW Moment....lol.

So...... I'm all for a " REVOLUTION "

Yes.. The answer to everyone who asked if the new site is the way to go... That is my honest answer.... For reasons other than the fact, that what ZVUE did and the way in which they did it was totally unacceptable and in no small way memorable of " Communist Russia ".. I have to say "Yes"....

Anyway...... Here we go.....

A man and his dog were walking along a road.The man was enjoying the scenery, when it suddenly occurred to him that he had just had a heart attack and was dead.

He remembered dying, and that the dog walking beside him had been dead for years. He wondered where the road was leading them.

After a while, they came to a high, white stone wall along one side of the road. It looked like fine marble. At the top of a long hill, the wall was broken by a tall arch that glowed in the sunlight.

When he was standing before it he saw a magnificent gate in the arch that looked like mother-of-pearl, and the street that led to the gate looked like pure gold.

He and the dog walked toward the gate, and as he got closer, he saw a man at a desk to one side.When he was close enough, he called out, 'Excuse me, where are we?'.......

'This is Heaven, sir,' the man answered.

'Wow! Would you happen to have some water?' the man asked.

'Of course, sir. Come right in, and I'll have some ice water brought right up.'

The man gestured, and the gate began to open.

'Can my friend come in, too?' the traveler asked, gesturing to the dog.

'I'm sorry, sir, but we don't accept pets.'

The man thought a moment and then turned back toward the road and continued

the way he had been going with his dog.

After another long walk, and at the top of another long hill, he came to a

dirt road leading through a farm gate that looked as if it had never been

closed.There was no fence.

As he approached the gate, he saw a man inside, leaning against a tree and

reading a book. 'Excuse me!' he called to the man. 'Do you have any water?'

'Yeah,sure, there's a pump over there, come on in.'

'How about my friend here?' the traveler said as he gestured to the dog.

'Sure, there's a bowl by the pump.'

They went through the gate, and sure enough, there was an old-fashioned

hand pump with a bowl beside it. The traveler filled the water bowl and took a long drink

himself, then he gave some to the dog. When they were full, he and the dog walked back

toward the man who was standing by the tree.

'What do you call this place?' the traveler asked.

'This is Heaven,' he answered.

'Well,that's confusing,' the traveler said. 'The man down the road said

that was Heaven, too.'

'Oh,you mean the place with the gold street and pearly gates? Nope. That's hell.'

'Doesn't it make you mad for them to use your name like that?'

'No,we're just happy that they screen out the folks who would leave their

best friends behind.'

[Blog] Showcased Media....Good or Bad

I may be wrong in everything you read from hereon....but I will make my point.....

eBaumsWorld has been one of my favourite sites for a good few years now....

It went very slack about 8 months ago but I think this was purely to do with internal staffing problems and the major overhaul which was undergoing at the time.....Namely: " The Major Re-Vamp"

Now all change should be considered a good thing.... Lets face it.... People dont change things to make them worse...." Do They...?" Oh....and within that, I really dont mean any of you "EMO's" that may have logged in....lol

eBaumsWorld have introduced some really cool features to the site since the "Re-Vamp" such as " The Blog Section", " Groups" even a "Live Chat", which I might add.....People abused this so badly it was pulled....Not all people but I'm pretty sure the people who did...if they are reading this KNOW exactly why....lol

Now this.....[ to me ] is the reason why I remain a loyal user here..... The reason why E.B.W is a far superior site to other media sites such as " Metacafe, Daily Motion....even YouTube" to mention but a few.... User Interaction is truly the way forward and eBaums is, in my estimation.....Leading The Way.

Anyway.....I'm digressing.....lol, enough of blowing eBaums fuckin trumpet... The dirty bitch ripped me again.....lol

The one new feature after "The Revamp" I am not so sure about is the ability to Showcase your own media on your profile page.... After being out of the loop for a good few weeks and only having time to view some random stuff from my subs, I was glad to return home and sort through some of my videos this weekend.

I uploaded a good few of some of them and received some pretty good feedback and ratings on them. I would like to thank everyone who took the time to rate,comment even just view my uploads. I try to upload stuff with good entertainment value but as any uploader knows it's getting harder to search out material that is fairly original.

Anyway..... I was a little pissed yesterday when eBaum featured HIS "Wedding Blooper" I had uploaded this video 2 days previous to his time-stamp and even put it up as my Showcased Media. I had over 800 views,30 comments and nearly 20 good ratings for it.... This however leads me to think that the underlying motive behind eBaums introduction of The Showcase was really only a timesaver for his staff....

I used to think that it was bad when I saw him taking stuff from the top users of the day and featuring them as his own the day after but now I've realised they don't need to even bother viewing the just submitted section and sorting out the better stuff because you can be sure at his end he will merely be able to view all our showcases just to pick and choose whatever he decides he wants....or "They" as it will certainly be the staff doing this....

We all know eBaums has made his name off the back of other media sites and ripped off their stuff for years but to so blatantly rip off his own users in such a way I find totally soul destroying....This is just one example. I have many many more but after a 5 week break this one hit me bad.....

So a word of warning to all uploaders.... If you think you've got something feature worthy: "Do Not Showcae It" at least make them work for it if they want it....If not you may just get the elusive feature....lol

I am GLD and I like to piss eBaum off when possible......

After getting all of Pope Benedict's luggage loaded into the limo, and He doesn't travel light, the driver notices that the Pope is still standing on the curb.

'Excuse me, Your Holiness,' says the driver, 'Would you please take your seat so we can leave?

'Well, to tell you the truth,' says the Pope, 'they never let me drive at the Vatican , and I'd really like to drive today.'

I'm sorry but I cannot let you do that. I'd lose my job! And what if something should happen?' protests the driver, wishing he'd never gone to work that morning.

'There might be something extra in it for you,' says the Pope.

Reluctantly, the driver gets in the back as the Pope climbs in behind the wheel. The driver quickly regrets his decision when, after exiting the airport, the Pontiff floors it, accelerating the limo to 105 mph.

'Please slow down, Your Holiness!!!' pleads the worried driver, but the Pope keeps the pedal to the metal until they hear sirens. 'Oh, dear God, I'm going to lose my license,' moans the driver.

The Pope pulls over and rolls down the window as the cop approaches, but the cop takes one look at him, goes back to his motorcycle, and gets on the radio. 'I need to talk to the Chief,' he says to the Dispatcher.

The Chief gets on the radio and the cop tells him that he's stopped a limo going a hundred and five.

'So bust him,' says the Chief.

'I don't think we want to do that - he's really important,' said the cop.

The Chief exclaimed, 'All the more reason!'

'No, I mean really important,' said the cop.

The Chief then asked, 'Who have you got there, the Mayor?'

Cop: 'Bigger.'

Chief: 'Governor?'

Cop: 'Bigger.'

'Well,' said the Chief, 'Who is it?'

Cop: 'I think it's God!'

Chief: 'What makes you think it's God?'

Cop: 'He's got the fucking Pope as a chauffeur!'

I have remained silent on so many issues that have disturbed me here on eBaumsworld but just lately, I’ve been witnessing some pretty extreme shit going on with both Newbies and Veteran users…. To me this is bullying…… I have 3 issues I feel need addressing and I will do so at a later date. My main concern at the moment is the new “Clique System” I will not mention any names because I’m pretty sure that the parties involved will know who I am talking about but for all the thousands of decent eBaumsworld users who just like this site and upload some great stuff I will explain how this “clique” works.

Firstly…. If you by any chance upset one of these 5 people, you will be reprimanded. These 5 users…… no sorry I mean LOSERS will then view your media, be it new stuff or old and rate it down…… There is a flaw in eBaumsworlds system that automatically takes down media that is flagged by more than 4 users, so if they don’t like you they will group together and destroy anything you upload.

I have some great friends on here who are seriously thinking about leaving because of this group of idiots and these are people who have been members of this community for a long time. People who’s uploads have given everybody excellent entertainment for a long time…. I have been in contact with staff and this matter is under review so hopefully it will be dealt with shortly and the above losers will be receiving what they deserve….

I don’t want to fall out with anybody over this issue…. I know that one of the persons involved is on my buddy list and I’m hoping that they will realise that….

My other issues will have to wait for a few weeks while I’m tied up with work but this “Clique” will be dealt with sooner than you think…. G.L.D…..

Dear Alcohol,

First & foremost, let me tell you that I'm a huge fan of yours. As my
friend, you always seem to be there when needed. The perfect post-work
cocktail, a beer at the game, and you're even around at the holidays,
hidden inside chocolates, as you warm us when we're stuck in the midst of
endless family gatherings. However, lately I've been wondering about your
intentions.
While I want to believe that you have my best interests at heart, I feel
that your influence has led to some unwise consequences:

1. Phone calls: While I agree with you that communication is important, I
question the suggestion that any conversation of substance or necessity
takes place after 2 a.m.
Why would you make me call those ex-boyfriends when I know for a fact they
do not want to hear from me during the day, let alone all hours of the
night?

2. Eating: Now, you know I love a good meal, but why do you suggest that I
eat a taco with chili sauce, along with a big Italian meatball and some
stale chips (washed down with WINE & topped off with a Kit Kat after a few
cheese curls & chili cheese fries)? I'm an eclectic eater, but I think you
went too far this time.

  3. Clumsiness: Unless you're subtly trying to tell me that I need do more
yoga to improve my balance, I see NO need to hammer the issue home by
causing me to fall down. It's completely unnecessary, and the black & blue
marks that appear on my body mysteriously the next day are beyond me.

Similarly, it should never take me more than 45 seconds to get the front
door key into the lock.

  4. Furthermore: The hangovers have GOT to stop. This is getting ridiculous.
I know a little penance for our previous evening's debauchery may be in
order, but the 3pm hangover immobility is completely unacceptable. My
entire day is shot. I ask that, if the proper precautions are taken (water,
vitamin B, bread products, aspirin) prior to going to sleep/passing out
face down on the kitchen floor with a bag of popcorn, the hangover should
be minimal & in no way interfere with my daily activities.

Alcohol, I have enjoyed our friendship for some years now & would like to
ensure that we remain on good terms. You've been the invoker of great
stories, the provocation for much laughter, and the needed companion when I
just don't know what to do with the extra money in my pockets. In order to
continue this friendship, I ask that you carefully review my grievances
above & address them immediately. I will look for an answer no later than
Thursday 3pm (pre-happy hour) on your possible solutions & hopefully we can
continue this fruitful partnership.

Eighteen-year-old Helen Stephens, nicknamed "Fulton Flash" after her birthplace of Fulton, Missouri, ran in the 100 m dash in the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin ... and won.

As was the custom at the time, Stephens made the obligatory visit to Hitler's box after winning gold. In his Complete Book of the Summer Olympics, David Wallechinsky wrote:

She offered a firm handshake (Americans didn't give the Nazi salute), but Hitler offered a firm grope. "He gets a hold of my fanny," the Fulton Flash said, "and he begins to squeeze and pinch and hug me up, and he said, 'You're a true Aryan type. You should be running for Germany.'"

Then Hitler laid on the big offer: a weekend at his retreat in Berchtesgaden. She turned him down. (Source)

Side note: At the Olympics, Helen Stephens beat the reigning champ, Stanislawa Walasiewicz of Poland and there were accusations that Helen was actually a man. After a genital inspection proved otherwise, the matter was dropped.

Walasiewicz, who subsequently changed her name to Stella Walsh was killed in an armed robbery many decades later. In an ironic twist of fate, the autopsy showed that she actually had male genitalia (though she had both XX and XY pair of chromosomes). From that point on, she was often referred to as "Stella the Fella."
