Father appalled by virtual audience to son's death end: .tools --> By SARAH LARIMER, Associated Press Writer Sarah Larimer, Associated Press Writer 32 mins ago end .byline --> end: .hd -->

MIAMI The father of a college student whose suicide was broadcast live over a webcam said Saturday he was appalled by the virtual audience that egged on his son and called for tougher regulation of Internet sites.

Abraham Biggs Sr. said those who watched and the Web site operators share some blame in his 19-year-old son's death.

"I think they are all equally wrong," he said. "It's a person's life that we're talking about. And as a human being, you don't watch someone in trouble and sit back and just watch."

Police found Abraham Biggs Jr. dead in his father's bed Wednesday, 12 hours after he first declared on the Web site for bodybuilders that he planned to take his own life. He took a fatal drug overdose in front of an Internet audience. Although some viewers ... Read more ...

I have planted my flag into this website as my new place to drop my mental feces. I have been coming to this site for about as long as it has been up, but just never created a profile. why? I dunno, maybe cuz i hate filling out that goddamn profile questionaire. where do you live, whens your birffday, sex, how many moles do you have, ect. i finally said fuck it cuz i want to share the insanity that wells up in my brain space and this is the best place to do it. my mind feels like an old vhs tape that has been recorded and rerecorded over and over again with all the images clashing and overlapping then a coherent and lucid thought will pop out and because my mouth and brain have no filter inbetween, it will fall outta my mouth like overchewed beef. usually, thats when people will look at me and say that that was the craziest(or funniest, i get that too) shit i have ever heard. really? cuz it sounded completly sane and unfunny to me in my head. i feel i will only be accepted here. i cant even log onto yahoo ... Larry Mayer Out-of-work upstate miner Sam Gallup picked up and moved to Montana, heeding the voice - and job offer - that said, 'Go West, young man!' He worked one shift and got laid off again. Sam Gallup bolted New York for a new home, a new life and a new job in Montana. One 10-hour shift later, he was facing the same old problem: Unemployment. The 24-year-old upstate mine worker traveled 2,000 miles to find work only to get laid off after one day on the payroll of the Stillwater Mining Co. "It's kind of a dead-end situation," Gallup said Thursday. "Job security? There is none. Right now, I'm in the financial situation of losing everything." Gallup received the bad news Monday night after returning home from his first and last day of work. Standing on the porch of a friend's house in Billings, he noticed a voice mail on his cell ph ...
