Read this story of mod abuse on tomshardware

I come online today look around for a minute and BAM Overshockeds (Intel Overclock) thread locked by 4ryan6 all because i said that i was suprised at the weak overclocks on the AMD Phenom IIs so i posted that and somehow this moderator takes it personal. I was by all means not looking to insult anyone i just was surprised no one came up with some crazy AMD overclock. So how is it that this moderator can lock the thread because he apparently he is an AMD fanboy makes no sense. It is not like my comment was directed towards anyone or had any hateful or vulgar content. I was just hopeing to see some good numbers and that was the bottom line. This kind of reaction for a simple comment is not called for and should not be tolerated. pfff.gif This kind of blatant abuse of authority makes me sick. ange.gif

I really hope that someone actually reads this and sees how wrong this MOD was to lock that thread.

Well I am glad 4ryan or some other Moderator unlocked the thread but it should have never been locked in first place. It is still funny how he deleted my comment there was nothing that i said was vulgar or insulting. In respect of overshock i am not posting my frustrations in his thread but still even though the thread has been unlocked my post has been deleted. It is pretty bad when you cant post a comment on this site.

Since it was deleted i will tell you what i said.

I made a comment about some of the AMD overclocks that i saw. My exact words were.

These AMD overclocks seem a little weak they should be able to see 4.5.

Now is that something that should be deleted or called insulting??

I'd suggest that if you disagree with what a mod has done, send them a (polite, if possible) private message asking why and explaining your side. If that still doesn't work, then perhaps PM another mod or start a thread like this. Sometimes what may seem simple and harmless to you could be mistaken as something else (or could have been spammed endlessly by someone else) and seem like something that needs to be locked/deleted to a mod. I am certainly not saying that is the case here, just something to consider.
