I went to Detroit this summer and i was saddend by the state of the city. Abandoned buildings, burnt out sometimes. No department stores in the city proper and barely a corner store once in a while. People run red lights all the time and there's no cops in sight to keep order. It all seems so desolate and boring, i wonder, how can a country so rich have a city so miserable?
