Blind Dates:

My dad told me about the worst, blind date he ever went on. The girl was so ugly that she made him sick to his stomach. However, he went to a baseball game with her. They were sitting on the bleachers and my dad tried to keep some distance between them. She tried to sit next to my dad and he would slide over a little until he was at the end of the bleachers. Then he was screwed, he could not move over any more. It was terrible for him.

I know, that is not very interesting, but I am just getting started.

One of my uncles got set up on a blind date and this girl was so ugly and fat, that he was starting to get sick and regret that he agreed to the date. Any way, they were driving around for a while and the girl started talking about one of her relatives that lived in the area. This gave my uncle an idea,

He said, Lets go over and see this guy. He sounds pretty cool and I want to meet him.< ... Read more ...

What is the best Chick magnet?

A few years ago Maxim magazine did an experiment to see what the best prop was to attract women. They sent an average looking man out with several different things to test one at a time. First they sent him out with a $93,000 Maserati Spyder.

He got more attention from men then he did from the women. Every guy that saw the car wanted to see the engine and take a test drive. NOT good if you want to meet women! However, there was a small percentage of women that wanted to see and drive the car. It is just not the best way to meet women. Although, ladies, if you want to meet men, a fancy car is one of the best props for you!

The second thing he tried was a Tuxedo. No woman was extremely impressed with this! He did get a lot of funny looks and a lot of laughs from it. Someone even made a joke and said, Wheres the funeral?

After that he walked around NYC with a 29 month ol ... Read more ...

Beer Trivia:

When the Pyramids were being built, over 5,000 years ago, the Stonemasons working on the structures were paid with a form of Beer called Kash. That is where we got our modern term for money.

Yes, beer is older than the pyramids!

Another name for beer in the Ancient World was BOOZAH, which is now another name for a heavy drinker and also a slang term for a British pub.

In Anglo Saxon times, drinking goblets were marked with pegs to show how much a person had drunk. This gave us the expression: To take someone down a peg or two. In England, inns in town had to pay a tax known as a Scot. Drinkers who went out of town to rural inns were described as drinking Scot-free.

The term: Toddlers originated in England. There were impurities in the drinking water that disallowed the water to be used for ... Read more ...

How did the idea for Santa Claus originate?

The American version of the Santa Claus figure received its inspiration and its name from the Dutch legend of Sinterklaas (A Dutch variant of the name Saint Nicholas).

Dutch Colonists took this tradition with them to New Amsterdam (Now New Your City) in the American colonies in the 17th Century.

As early as 1773, the name appeared in the American press as St. A Claus, but it was the popular author Washington Irving who gave Americans their first detailed information about the Dutch version of Saint Nicholas. In his History of New York, published in 1809 under the pseudonym: Diedrich Knickerbocher, Irving described the arrival of the saint on horseback each Eve of Saint Nicholas.

This Dutch-American Saint Nick achieved his fully Americanized form in 1823 in the poem: A Visit From Saint Nichol ... Read more ...

MYTH BUSTERS:

Tonight on Myth Busters, they proved that you really can lift a car with fire hoses. Goats do kind of faint, but not exactly.

You can make a large saw dust cannon just like the one you see on the internet. They also demonstrated how they solved the Rubix Cube with their feet and while blind folded.

They managed to lift a car in the air by removing the engine from the car and making it lighter. They used six fire hoses. First they tried to lift the car with the engine in the car and using ten hoses. Then they used only six hoses and more pressure on each one. But even that did not even get the tires off the ground. So that is when they removed the engine and raised the car about 15 ft off the ground. Myth confirmed!

The goats fainting: They talked to a farmer who said, they do fall down, but they dont lose consciousne ... Read more ...
