So, Im lookin at the blogs and im noticing patterns. People are coming into the blog section, writing a blog, then getting upset or angry or run off. And Im noticing a few trends. I wouldnt call these rules, and much as observations. But Im sure the word rules in the subject kinda caught your attention better. So take that.
First off, pay your dues. New people come in, write a blog and expect rave reviews. Take some time to earn a little respect before throwing your boring life story at us. That way we may have just a little respect left over after reading your ignorant blog.
Im noticing that emotional or serious face blogs are a hit or miss factor. Being guilty of this one myself, I cant say much. Just that in every blog you write on here, you have to expect the immaturity that will follow. You will get negative feedback. Deal with it. Although you will also get a few intelligent replies. So my girlfriend broke up with me tonight. She thinks im cheating on her. Which im not. its not for lack of options either. I truely care about her. I dont want anyone else.
But I can look at the evidence that shes got against me and i honestly cant blame her. Thats the worse part. This has been an ongoing deal and shes hung in there very well.
It started when she found a pink hair tie in my room. yes, I have long hair, but pink isnt really my color. I honestly have no clue where it came from or how it got in my room. I friend of mine thinks it was his moms. If i hadnt been in a panic at the time, I totally wouldve made several jokes. But it wasnt the time. Apparently, since I do laundry at his house, and his mom had visited him she left her hair tie and it mustve gotten mixed in with my laundry. She ended up staying, and neither of us is very sure about believing the story about the hair tie. Its still a mystery.

So it was a bit earlier than I had planned, but this week, I started doing stand up comedy again. Originally, I had planned to wait a while, write some new routines, and then go. But I got an offer to go up this week, and I went ahead and took it.
I got a call this week wanting me to fill in, so I went ahead.
Apparently someone didnt show, or cancelled on em. And they needed an opener. And since I'm a nobody in stand up comedy, I'm a perfect candidate. So I asked what was I was getting out of it. Cash? Nope. Free drinks? Not even that, the lowest form of payment for comics. Jack shit's what I got. Not that I care, just that Im going to try for as much as I can.

So I recently took a break from damn near everything lately. It was mostly brought on by me not getting into med school. I decided that I had too many distractions and needed to figure my life out. So I took a semester off of college, stopped doing stand up comedy. stopped writing for my act. Just worked. I also learned that I am techincally considerred an educator by the state, and since I contract through a non profit agency, I get on the state's kick ass educators insurance. And well, Ive got alot figured out. Im going to go back to college. Since I love what I do, I am going to finish up my education and get a masters in speech pathology.
Im also going to start doing stand up again. Ive already started writing again. Ive got a few rough cuts of jokes. Im hoping to get 3 or 4 more routines before I go up again. fresh stuff too.
And Im working on getting back into shape. I used to box. Now I drink beer and watch TV. So I have a way to go, but hell, I enjoy challenge.
