OK, so it's been out for a while but alot of people have been talking about it. The Dark Night Movie. Heath Ledger was great! blah blah blah. I've heard people say Batman wasn't as interesting. blah blah blah How can you compete with Heath Ledger's performance as Joker? I don't think it's possible. Besides, we love Batman for the villans not for Batman.
Anyways, this blog is being written because I've heard a few people that saw the movie that thought it was so incredibly gory and over the top. I don't think these people were watching the same movie as I was. Sure the tone was darker but I think the violence was beautifully done. You saw almost none of it on screen. Sure there were guns going off, and allusions to knives cutting flesh but nothing given to you. Instead, they left it all to the imagination which is much more horrifying than any CGI they have no matter how realistic. It reminds me of the movie Seven (you know Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman) where when I first saw it I walked away thinking ... Read more ...
One of the biggest critcisms of our last president was his "cowboy diplomacy" and that he ruined our reputation abroad. Obama is using this tour to show that he can mend our relationship with the countries we've alienated. Like it or not we live in a global community in which the biggest stresses on our economy are external (India, China, etc.) We need the entire world to buy into what we're selling. If Obama can bring back our "shining city on the hill" reputation while building his foreign policy credentials so be it. Obviously Obama disagrees strongly with the current president's foreign policy. His trip is showing that the majority of the world does as well (Maliki's timetable statement comes to mind). I'm sorry, but I'm not really offended by a few "mea culpas" to get the world back on our side. I LOVE my country! Appently some people believe that this means I have to HATE every other country in the world or that to be a true patriot those countries should at least hate us. I don't get it. I think peo ... Ellimem wrote a blog about offshore drilling and this is my response. I figured it will probably be to long to fit in the comments section and I might as well get more Ereps this way sooo...
Ellimem and many other other americans have bought into the propaganda the oil companies are spewing. I get annoyed every time the congress holds one of these joke "investigations" into oil companies record profits because all that happens is they give oil bigwigs an platform to further their deciet of the american people. It's always "get rid of our taxes" or "more offshore drilling." Things that truthfully won't help anybody's pocketbook except their own.
What ellimem forgot to mention in his blog is that oil companies have plenty of offshore drilling leases that they refuse to develop already. Why should we open up protected areas when we already have sites available to increase the supply which are untapped? That's why our first action, rather than giving oil companies everything that they are asking ... Read more ...
OK, So I posted a comment on one of Kitty's blogs and it seems I rubbed her fur the wrong way. I was trying to make a point about how impressionable young kids are and how parents need to be more careful about imposing their jaded version of the world on their children. I didn't mean for her to feel like I was calling her a bad parent. I was just giving advice.
Anyways, she got upset because I pointed out how certain actions can be psycologically damaging to kids and she took it personally. The exchange got me thinking. I'm sure she's a great mom but that's not the point of this blog
here's the point of the blog...
IT'S NOT IF YOU SCREW UP YOUR KIDS, IT'S HOW YOU SCREW UP YOUR KIDS
Nobody's perfect. Children's brains are fragile and no matter how hard you try you will do something to mess with their heads. Yeah, some are worse than others but I think everyone at some point says "Man, my folks really did a job on me..." and if they don't their probably too busy sorting their sock ... Read more ...
I usually just use this site as a way to blow off steam. I play the games, watch some videos, read blogs and occasionally comment. I've always stayed pretty detached from Ebaums because some people can be pretty nasty on here. But today for whatever reason I don't really care so much.
I am a musician and I want to share an important part of me as a person with those of you who care. So if you want check out my stuff:

I know most people on here look down on myspace and I very much expect to now see my profile pic on LOSERS OF MYSPACE but I'd like to hear what you think. If you like my stuff add me or just tell me on here if not I'd like to know too. I can handle it.
