This time of year is my favorite time of the year. The stench of the southern summer is gone, the air is thin and cool, the leaves are falling, and in enters the greatest holiday in the history of man, ... Thanksgiving. It doesn't matter your beliefs. Spiritually, politically, or whatever. What really matters is family, this is the time of year that if you can't be humbled and be thankful, well, I guess there is no hope for you. I for one look forward to going back home and seeing Momma and the rest of the gang. Sadly, it can also be the time of year where a lot of families are so worried about the presentation that they lose sight of what is really important, being with family and friends and being thankful for what you have. My advise is to be thankful not just for the feast you receive, ( would be happy if it was ham sandwiches and kool-aid) but be happy that you are with people that love you, and for at least one day, put aside childish, selfish, differences, to realize hey,... today might be the last tim ...
