three or so months ago I wrote a blog where I decided to design my own religion. I have taken some time to break my incoherent pile of guidelines into a coherent belief system, and then threw that out and poured all my passion into a tangent instead. In all seriousness though, this is my attempt to frame a worldview that I think fills the void for a valid and comprehensible explanation of this world and human nature and how it fits into it. I would clarify that I have not composed a pantheon of fake gods, mythical beings, and spirits. As much fun as that might be I am attempting to be serious here. I consider this world view to be a sort of belief system, but it is not spiritual. It could be called a sort of atheism, but it goes beyond the rejection of the supernatural and the acceptance of reality. I have penetrated reality in a way that even few atheists can accomplish. I have been often described as a sociopath, but the following is not born of hatred. it is my understanding of what it really is to be huma ... Read more ...

I found out recently that in my city there is now one major bookstore. One. I knew they'd been closing, but I never imaged it had come to this. I live in a major city. we have no less than ten movie theaters walking distance from my apartment (I counted them). Why does this concern me so much? I can buy books online can't I? Yes I can and I find entertainment in places other than in text sometimes but there is a reason I stopped going to the movies and can count the shows I like that haven't been canceled on one hand. It's because quality entertainment just isn't profitable.
What I mean by this is that it's no coincidence that movies are all a jumbled pile of shit that watch like four directors were fighting over what kind of movie they were making. cross genre entertainment is the profit game. All a movie has to do to make money is get people to show up. They don't have to actually like the movie. If you throw in something for everyone, more people show up. All it costs you is the movie's artistic merit ... Read more ...

So it's time again for a doomsday prophecy. I hear they think it's Saturday this time, due to...some bad math and ambiguous prophecies that were badly translated? I don't know. But I'll tell you what Christians, I'm with you. I want you to be raptured. go be with your silly incompetent distant god of dirty tricks and leave the earth to the sane and reasonable. I'd be thrilled to be left here. unfortunate that the rapture isn't coming of course, and all we'll have are some disappointed Christians...which will also make me happy.
Hey what if I'm wrong? I'm sure you're wondering. Well I have plenty to ask god about that, such as: 'why were you so bad at communicating? what kind of god is deliberately vague and full of errors? if you wanted me to know something you had the power to tell me didn't you? Don't say you were testing my faith, that's the kind of shit a human would say. aren't you better then us? why should I trust you if you're just a spooky incompetent invisible man?' the whole mess reeks of huma ... The union is the bane of the American worker. Because of the fear of being trapped with anyone that is hired, employers have become remarkably stringent and job security is no longer about proving oneself by working hard and being loyal and talented but is instead about foolish political and diplomacy ass kissing games. untalented, lazy workers get undeserved job security while more deserving people are fucked out of work because no one can be fired for sucking at their job. lazy untalented workers get undeserved raises to the point that they can make the salary of a more integral worker for doing a job that belongs rightfully to an entry level employee and not to a veteran. if you can't take a promotion then fucking keep your bad pay. you want more money do something harder. Decent and useless alike, all workers get their weekly shake down for protection money to a group of assholes they can't even count on to do anything useful. The only difference between unions and the mafia is that at least th ... Read more ...

The very idea, the concept, of perfection that many like to imagine is, to me, a very strange and silly concept given our universe. This is an existence that is in every way disquieted. IT is the unevenness of everything, the tendency toward chaos, that gives existence it's form. There is diversity of reactions that led to diversity of elements that led to complex reactions that made comparably simple bits of carbon compared to some examples we have now that become complex and changing, diverse, bits of carbon, all because perfection is a silly myth. We have matter and not anti matter because anti matter is perfection. empty nothing. a void beyond imagining. the chaos that makes it so there is something and not nothing is the chaos that lays behind every bit of existence. This is not to be hated or feared. chaos has negative connotations but it is merely a mandate of our existence. No form of life is perfect, but they aren't broken and evil either, they just are and they are just enacted on by forces. victims ... Read more ...
