At 08:12am Sep, 8 2009 : I almost always favor the cops in the videos such as this; even if they acted inapropriately I always fall back on, "... but they are authority figures and things likely wouldn't have escalated if the other person simply followed instruction and didn't resist, argue, etc." ... not this time. This cop went out of his way to leave the scene in order to seek out the Ambulance when he simply could have taken note of the plate/unit number and addressed the incident later. He could have followed the Ambulance addressed his issues after the patient had been safely delivered to the Hospital. The cop did run right up behind the ambulance (though he said he didn't) and it couldn't yield immediately because of the white car on the side of the road; once they passed the car they did slow and pull over to the right so the cop could pass.
