I would enlist, but I've had plans for my future since before the war. Just because my country goes to war (a war that I don't even support), does that mean I have to abandon all of my personal plans? If your answer is yes, you've just spat in the eye every one of our founding fathers. Believe me, I'd love to "cover your ass when hadji is shooting at it," but I've already set my path. So I'm "covering your ass" the best way I can- by paying for your fucking equipment. Fucking baby.

Every day, I come home from school, and empty my pockets into a jar. At the end of the year, I count it. It typically adds up to around $100- $150. Every summer when school's out, I take that jar, and donate it to the U.S. armed forces. I'm aware it's not much, but it's all I can afford right now, with gas prices going through the fucking roof. You don't seem to understand the meaning of unconditional love. I don't support "your mission," and I don't give a flying shit about your pride anymore, but I do want you to come home alive and well, victorious or not. My brother (actual brother), a Marine who recently finished his 2nd tour in Iraq understands my family's opinion on the war, but he's still grateful for our personal support for the troops. If you don't want my support, go cry. You're gonna get it anyway. P.S.- Thank you for serving. You have my utmost gratitude. Please be safe on your next tour.
