At 01:17am Feb, 11 2009 : It has to be 10kb or less. Here's what you need to do. 1) Find a pic you would like to use as your avatar. 2) Right click on the image and save the image to your desk top. 3) Find the image on your desk top. 4) Right click the image. 5) On the menu, put your cursor over the part that says "open with" 6) Open the image with MS paint, or any other type of image application. 7) When you open it with paint, at the top select the "Image" tab. 8) Select "resize/skew" 9) Change the size of the image. For example, instead of 100% X 100%, make it 50% X 50% 10) Then select File 11) Select "Save As" 12) You now have a smaller version of your picture. To make sure it is the right size, right click on the smaller picture, select "properties" and look to see how big the file is. If it's smaller than 10kb you're good to go. If not, then it;s still too big. Hope this was some help to you.
