The trouble with celebrity chefs is that they spend all their time on tv (UK TV is wall to wall cooking shows these days) and hardly any time in their kitchens - There are some decent restaurants in the UK, but oh too few. To be fair, whenever I've been to the States on business (only about half a dozen times) the food there has been dreadful - huge portions but mostly tasteless - I'm sure there are plenty of good restaurants there, but as a business traveller I never had time to find them!

A lot of practice - combination shots help (there is a certain combo on level 2 - look on youTube for Blast Billiards to see it done), but it is not necessary to get over 3k. Some common tips - pot easy balls first, don't hit the balls too hard and manouvre the cue ball to set shots up rather than missing a hard shot several times. Keep trying and you'll get there - look back and you'll see similar posts from players who regularly hit over 3000 in tournaments now.

Ah, when its all so far away, torture, mutilation and mass murder can be a 'cool story'. Karadzic, the man who brought you the term 'ethnic cleansing', is a really nasty piece of work. He seems to have been given up by his erstwhile allies in an attempt to gain EU membership, but the actions he perpretrated continue to disgust. You might think it less lighthearted if it was your family buried in an unmarked mass grave somewhere - perhaps some of those who were left will get some peace at last as the old mass murderer is brought to justice.

I agree with you on this one - I even think that 32 player tournaments would be feasible. I don't think you need to limit it to a particular group from a technical point of view, although in practice I would guess that big tournaments would tend to be run by the groups. The thing I would most like to see now is tournaments where you could play multiple tries per round, taking either the best score out of three or an average of three tries for example.
