At 09:04pm Mar, 10 2011 : I mean, I thought I was going somewhere, the concept of an interpretive community isn't common knowledge or necessarily a commonly held belief... sometimes I like write my opinions down as a personal clarification method. I'm also both a philosophy and English undergrad currently and I am sort of forced to write in largely a neutral perspective... I'm sorry for wasting your time with my aimless and boring blog.

At 08:22pm Mar, 10 2011 : I don't believe you understand the debate. Subjectivity doesn't rob you of your own experience, you can hold subjective beliefs. Jumping off a cliff is largely innate knowledge, you never learn not to jump off cliffs. I am also arguing for objective communities of knowledge, like the scientific community, who hold the theory of gravity and Newtonian physics as a deterrent to walking off a cliff. Also, in regards to your last comment, truly you can't prove causation to exist. David Hume holds a theory that scientific method can not in fact prove future events, rather it a series of repeated correlations. Although one should hold what seems to be logical commonly held scientific method, it is still conditioning rather than reason. Science is based on deductive reasoning rather than inductive reason, and the only reason that bus will kill you is through a theory of uniformity in nature, but nothing logically states that that bus will in fact hit you with the force expected by the theory
