Yea I agree with ya on this one....if you are in a 30 minute firefight, you either have an incompetent leader that doesnt know how to call in fire support, or you have just been shit on uncontrollably and managed to piss off every person at the same time...

Well, I agree with you...I think. Look, shit like this happens in every job in every country...it will never change. You gotta kiss a little ass to get recognized, and if you have been in the Corps for even more than a year you know that. I have 8 years in, and as a SNCO, I see the bullshit stack higher everyday. It just pisses me off to see this kind of stuff...because in the end, Marines like to be recognized for their actions, and seeing others recognized for bullshit gives them a reason to bitch...and a Marine that is not bitching is not happy. The backbone of the Corps is covered in poo, always has been, and always will be

yea dude....um if you give a shit about your personal awards like that, then the fact that undeserving people get them should not bother you...you know what you did to earn the shit. I know I was in legit combat for my CAR, and I earned my NAM it wasnt given to me. is it frustrating that shit like that happens? Hell yea, but it doesnt reduce the value of MY personal awards one damn bit. And the comment below stating that you can tel everything about a military person by their ribbon stack is stupid as hell...you wouldnt know by my stack I have been in 8 years, or are you that good? how many units have I been in? have I been promoted meritoriously? have I been NJPed recently or in the past? cmon man...awards are just another thing you gotta adjust before a uniform inspection...or another thing I can hammer my Marines on in theirs...

i think italy was an ally of necessity for them....they knew what would happen if they continued to oppose the allied forces, and made the decision that would benefit the future of their country...who knows, maybe there would be a south/north italy today had they not chosen how they did
