      • I may be a little uneducated to press laws, but shouldn't libel and slander laws protect against this? Or do those laws only apply to stories about individuals? Also, when it comes to Obamacare, I am against the Federal government interfering with with the free market and forcing citizen's to buy a product (insurance).

      • And you are generalizing again by saying all atheists deny the claim becausethey don't believe. Your argument is completely invalid because of allege logical fallacies you continually introduce.

      • I don't understand how you can possibly think that a refutation of a claim automatically means I claim that God doesn't exist. In order to do that I would have to have conclusive evidence that I can demonstrate that god doesn't exist. Not having this proof, the best I can say is I DON'T KNOW. This statement isn't a counter claim to god's existence. You following me yet? I'm not arrogant enough to make a claim I can't back up but I can refute a claim that is unsupported.

      • How does agnosticism being a belief exclude it from being one of the outcomes of the argument? Here are a few of the outcomes when pondering the existence of gods: I believe in god. I believe in many gods. I don't believe in gods. I refute the claim that god exists as unsubstantiated by evidence, I believe that knowledge of gods is impossible, there's no point in life so why should I care, I don't give a fuck etc. There isn't some imaginary lime separating everyone into two groups of people.

      • You are so stuck in dichotomy mode it's ridiculous. Refuting a claim is not the same thing as refuting the subject of the claim. Bigfoot exists. Rebuttal: I refute the claim that Bigfoot exists because it is unsubstantiated by evidence. This statement does not imply that Bigfoot doesn't exist at all, merely that the evidence doesn't support the claim. This also doesn't imply that no more evidence may eventually surface.

      • And saying there are only two possible outcomes to that argument seriously undermines the scope of the argument. What you are saying is that if the theist is wrong then the atheist is right and vice versa when there are more outcomes than I believe in god or I refute the claim. Agnosticism is not a cop out because agnosticism means that knowledge of gods is impossible. This is a viable third option as it has nothing to do with belief or non-belief but is a statement that belief or non-belief is unsubstantiated because it's impossible to know anyway.

      • Wrong. I refute the claim that god is real is a refutation of of the claim not god itself. Your definition of atheism is obviously different from mine. Without a common definition there is no point in debating this as I am trying to refute claims based on what you believe atheism to be while you try and refute claims of what I consider to be atheism.

      • You are arguing so many fallacies it's ridiculous. Atheism is a denial of a claim that is regarded as unsupported by evidence. How can a refutation be a belief system? And your response to Tomlet contains a false dichotomy. Just because I consider someone else 100% wrong does not imply I am 100% right unless there are only two possible outcomes to an argument. Perhaps Tomlet is only 80% right?
