At 01:14am May, 10 2012 : I don't have a lot of use for religious ritual. I understand how it can be comforting for some. Hell, I've got a lot of ortho Jews walking the neighborhood on Saturday. Dogma also bugs the shit out of me. I was raised in a Catholic family, I know my fucking dogma. I also understand how jumping through the same hoops as a larger community can be comforting. But the gender inequality was a tough one for me. Dogma, it's just not for me. As a kid, I was totally into the Catholic thing. I just found, as I grew up and got more educated, the church didn't. I outgrew it. I even had a good, overall experience with it. When I asked the monsignor a tough question, he'd flat out tell me he didn't know the answer. That earned a lot of respect from me, even as a kid.

Eating too much and sitting your ass on the couch. "Building up acid making a negative environment for your cells, organs, and tissues" is a bunch of bullshit. Average human blood pH is around 7.4, with technically makes is a bit basic right there. Since blood is a suspension, you can debate about the pH of its component parts. Drinking green shit is NOT going to change your blood's pH. That's the good news. If it did, it could kill your ass. If your blood pH does get altered, your body has about a dozen ways to get it back in whack. Fuck people that make up shit and spout of some scientific words to prey on the ignorant assholes that didn't pay attention in middle school science.
