eBaum's World was founded in 2001 by Eric Bauman as a destination for flash animations, viral videos, soundboards, browser games and early internet ephemera. Launched long before YouTube, Facebook and Reddit, eBaum's World played a foundational role in how people shared content online in the early-2000s. In 2016, eBaum's World was purchased by Literally Media, which also owns Cracked, Cheezburger and KnowYourMeme.

As a legacy internet brand, followers of eBaum's World long for a time when people filmed themselves doing dumb, often dangerous stunts not for fame or fortune, but for the love of the game. And so, eBaum's World strives to preserve an internet before lame tech bros and the lame conglomerates they've created were in control of what we were allowed to share or see on the internet.
