Should You Be Putting 40 Cloves of Garlic in Your Pasta?

If you’re looking for a new pasta recipe that will make your breath stink for 100 years, The New York Times has you covered. The recipe, which calls for “40 cloves of garlic,” has gone viral as that sounds like way too much garlic for one recipe.


The dish is appropriately called, “Pasta Marinara With 40 Cloves of Garlic,” and according to the reviews, which rate the pasta as four out of five stars, it’s actually pretty good. Most of the comments are people giving their advice on how best to smash 40 cloves of garlic, but there is one comment that cuts right to the chase: “I don’t know. I think the dish needed more garlic.”



Which sure, if you’re making a dish with 40 cloves of garlic, I doubt anyone will notice if you toss an extra one in there.
