People Think the 49ers Keep Getting Injured Because They’re Too Close to a Power Station
At this point, 49er fans will entertain anything.

If you follow football, it’s no secret that the 49ers are the most injury-prone team in the NFL. Since 2017, they’ve led the league in games missed due to injuries with 2,036, slightly more than the second-place NY Giants with 2,012.
Just this past Sunday, five 49er players were injured in a single game. Former NFL MVP Christian McCaffery was famously injured all of last year, and Brock Purdy, the team’s franchise quarterback, has been out for weeks with “turf toe.”
Why do the 49ers suffer so many injuries? It's a question nobody has an answer to.
One theory that is interesting (if you want to get nerdy and holistic) is something Jon Feliciano brought up: How players have joked around about their being an electrical substation that's right… pic.twitter.com/EKOdKHGG3C— Chase Senior (@Chase_Senior) October 28, 2025
Well, one Niners fan has a theory, and it has nothing to do with the violent nature of football but everything to do with electromotive forces (EMF). Chase Senior, host of the ‘49ers Report,’ isn't leaving any stone unturned or any power station unscrutinized, posting on X that the team’s proximity to a local power plant may be contributing to the team’s injuries.
One user in Senior’s comments made their thoughts clear, writing, “This is really stupid, man.”
