Ninety-year-old gamer Shirley Curry has long been known on the internet as “Skyrim Granny.” This is because she, up until recently, had a fondness of playing Skyrim and uploading videos of her gameplay to the internet.

Now, however, she claims she’s stopping. Why? She says doing it just isn’t fun anymore — and also, that commenters are getting on her nerves.

“I have a few older regular viewers,” Curry explained, “but most of them seem to be very young kids, children, and I’m not getting any feedback from them on the videos. All I get is ‘Hi grandma, I love you grandma.’ That isn’t what I was spending my time on making and uploading videos for.”

Will she return someday? Maybe — she *has* quit and returned in the past — but if she’s waiting for internet commenters to get less obnoxious? Sorry to say, but that’s a wait that’s never going to end.
