Kerrigan Byron, the wife of Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, has removed her last name from her Facebook profile after a video of her husband went viral holding another woman at a Coldplay concert. The woman in his arms was Kristin Cabot, the head of HR at his company.

While it might be funny to us, it’s a pretty sad story as she woke up this morning to harassment from millions of internet users who flooded her social media pages with images of her cheating husband.

It’s also a sign of the times. We are so surveilled these days that we ourselves have begun to police each other in public. Brands have even jumped on the drama to promote their movies, and soon the scandal will be forgotten by everyone except those involved.

Word is Andy Byron is worth a billion dollars, so when it’s all said and done, I expect her to come out on top.
