Residents of San Rafael, California, are looking over their shoulders this week after two separate incidents of “vicious squirrel” attacks have rocked their community. According to local news reports, a couple of different people had to seek medical attention after they were attacked by squirrels “out of nowhere.”
Isabel Campoy, one of the people ambushed by the very angry squirrel, said her furry attacker left her with deep cuts. Joan Heblack, the other victim, said she suffered similar injuries after the squirrel “clamped onto my leg and was just hanging on.”
Flyers warning of an "attack squirrel" have gone up around one California town.

In light of the attacks, the community has posted flyers around town warning residents of “attack squirrels.”
Until the squirrel is caught, residents should maybe carry a bag of nuts with them, you know, just to be on the safe side.
