‘Avengers’ Actor Says He Doesn’t Know What the Movie’s About, and That He Didn’t Know Who He Was Acting With

Every movie these days is shot entirely on green screen, and some actors don’t much care for it.

Alan Cumming is a star of both stage and screen, meaning he’s had a lot of roles that put him into some strange, uncomfortable positions. However, he recently revealed to Gold Derby that one of his *most* uncomfortable acting experiences — or, at the very least, most unnerving — came while filming the new Avengers: Doomsday movie.

According to Cumming, he basically shot the entire thing alone on a green screen, totally unaware of where he was or who he was talking to. “I did the entire film in isolation. Lots of green screen, face replacement. They even gave characters fake names. I don’t know who I was acting with half the time,” he explained.

Seems like a recipe for a terrible movie, but maybe I just don’t see the vision.
