Brazilian Police Investigate Bizarre Death of Woman With ‘26 iPhones Glued to Her Body’
Thankfully, it wasn’t the phones that killed her.

A 26-year-old woman was traveling alone from Foz do Iguaçu to São Paulo when she experienced trouble breathing and died shortly thereafter due to a seizure. When her bus stopped in Guarapuava, medics tried to revive her, but they were unsuccessful.
What’s strange about her case is that while medics were performing CPR, they noticed she had 26 iPhones glued to her body. Authorities brought in a drug-sniffing dog and found no traces of illicit narcotics, though they did find a bottle of alcohol in her luggage. Police suspect the woman was trafficking the phones in hopes of selling them in São Paulo.

It does sound more reasonable to smuggle 26 iPhones on your body rather than in your body. But clearly that’s not the case either.
