New parents are always doing weird things. However, in their defense, they did just bring a child into the world, which is pretty questionable to begin with.

Calvin Harris and his wife just welcomed a newborn into the world, and on Instagram, Harris posted a carousel of his wife in a birthing tub, along with the baby’s placenta.

I’m not here to shame parents or nature. There’s nothing wrong with posting a placenta on Instagram; however, later on his carousel, Harris also posted a photo of some meat in a dehydrator, which I cannot confirm or deny is his wife’s placenta all chopped up.

According to WebMD, if you are going to eat your placenta, it’s best to have it “dried, powdered and sealed into capsules.” But while it does give you tons of clout in the “wook community,” the dangers of eating placenta far outweigh the supposed benefits, and the CDC warns against ingesting placenta capsules.

If you do plan on micro-dosing your wife’s placenta, Mr. Harris, please keep me updated. I’m curious to see if it makes your music better — it certainly can’t make it any worse.
