CERN Scientists Have Finally Found the 'Ghost' Haunting Their Particle Accelerator
I wasn’t expecting there to be a ghost in the machine.

According to Popular Mechanics, the scientists at CERN have long dealt with a “ghost” haunting their facility. Well, according to a research paper published earlier this year, they’ve found it.
In layman's terms, this “ghost” is a resonant frequency that can be detected when beams are fired through CERN’s ring. Similar to how liquid in a glass will jostle around when you walk, this frequency does the same, only with beams of matter inside a particle accelerator.
According to scientists at CERN, a mysterious entity was detected inside their particle collider. Physicists claim they have “captured and calculated the characteristics of a ‘ghost-like’ structure—an invisible entity that can alter the paths of particles…” pic.twitter.com/XcgVEqru7H

So sorry, there isn’t a ghost haunting the hallways of CERN after all — or at least not one we can prove, yet.
