Charlie Kirk’s Assassin Said It Was All a ‘Big Meme’
What a psycho.

As more information is released about Tyler Robinson, it has become clear that while he wasn’t motivated by partisan politics, he was motivated by his disdain for Charlie Kirk and his “hateful” messages against trans people.
Earlier today, Utah County Attorney Jeffrey Gray held a press conference where he announced that Tyler Robinson was being charged with seven felonies for his alleged assassination of Kirk. Gray also stated that Utah would be seeking the death penalty against Robinson.
In the indictment, authorities included a series of messages between Robinson and his partner, where Robinson admits what he had done, expresses his motive for doing it and jokes about how it was all a “big meme.”
Robinson wrote to his roommate/romantic partner about how the messages on his bullets were "mostly a big meme" and about how he'll hear the "notices bulge" thing on Fox News. pic.twitter.com/mFhvSqk9Fa

In the hours after Kirk’s death, Robinson was texting with his girlfriend. Those text messages reveal that Robinson planned his assassination a week before Kirk’s visit to Utah Valley University, and in his own words, said, "I had enough of his hatred," in reference to Kirk, and that "Some hate can't be negotiated out."
Robinson also joked about the messages he inscribed on his bullet casings, writing, “The messages are mostly a big meme; if I see ‘notices bugle uwu’ on Fox News, I might have a stroke.”
In his following messages, Robinson updates his partner on his attempts to pick up the rifle he ditched in the woods before stating that he would soon turn himself in to authorities after his grandfather began calling him once the news released photos of his grandfather’s rifle.
Robinson's roommate and partner, who is trans, was clearly in the dark when it came to Robinson’s plans, and towards the end of their conversation, stopped responding altogether.
While Robinson’s politics are not as cookie-cutter as either the left or right may like, being both pro-trans rights and pro Second Amendment, I think we can all agree that he is a terrible person, and an even worse partner.
