Someone Named Their Baby ‘Chat Yipiti’
It was bound to happen.

Baby names are windows into our collective consciousness. When Gwyneth Paltrow named her daughter Apple in 2004, it was earth-shaking news and sparked a shift in what was considered an appropriate baby name. And the same way names fall out of fashion (Adolf in the late ‘40s and ‘50s), they come into fashion (X Æ A-Xii — son of Elon and Grimes) by influence of the world around them.

So it really shouldn’t be a surprise that two parents, in Colombia of all places (I would have thought Miami), decided to name their newborn baby after a program that makes people go insane. “Yipiti” doesn’t have a direct Spanish-English translation, but it sounds like OpenAI’s LLM ChatGPT.
