A Chinese Movie Studio Used A.I. to Turn a Gay Wedding Into a Straight Wedding
Great, it looks like crap.

Neon, the distributor behind the body horror film Together, said it didn’t approve of the unauthorized editing of its film by the Chinese company Hishow, which, without permission, changed a wedding scene between two men into a wedding scene between a man and a woman.
According to one RedNote user who saw the film in China, the edit was pretty half-assed as “China didn’t delete this scene, [sic] instead, it photoshopped a woman’s face over one of the men.”

Here’s a use of AI I bet you never thought of! The horror film “Together” featured a gay couple in a peripheral role (see below) that got magicked into a straight couple in the Chinese edition.
No spoilers, but this definitely makes the film make… pic.twitter.com/bsxw5019uj— Angelica ⚛️ (@AngelicaOung) September 17, 2025
China is notorious for editing foreign films to fit its strict regulations, and most often, same-sex relationships are first on the chopping block.
