Despite Jeanine Pirro attempting to make an example of Sean Dunn, known online as the "hoagie hero,” for throwing a fully loaded Subway sandwich at a U.S. Border Patrol agent back in August, she turned him into a legend instead. A jury has ruled in favor of Dunn, finding him not guilty of assault with a deli weapon.
The case, which was loudly ridiculed online as being ridiculous, ended after just two days in court, where testimony was heard by Border Patrol agent Gregory Lairmore, who claimed he could feel the sandwich through his ballistic vest and could “smell the onions and the mustard.”

Pirro’s office wanted Dunn charged with a felony assault, though after a judge refused to bring those charges against him, Pirro “proceeded with a less serious misdemeanor charge,” according to The HuffPost.
However, a jury wasn’t convinced of that either, and after only seven hours of deliberation, found Dunn innocent on all charges.
