The Aalborg Zoo has reached out to the public with a bizarre ask: They want to feed your small pets to their predators. On social media, the zoo posted, “In zoos, we have a responsibility to imitate the natural food chain of the animals — in terms of both animal welfare and professional integrity.”

The ideal donations include “rabbits, guinea pigs and chickens,” though Aalborg said they also accept horses. And don’t worry, the pets are “gently euthanized by trained staff and are afterwards used as fodder.”

I know this makes the Danes seem cold, but if I’m being honest, rabbits and guinea pigs are lame pets.
