DoorDash, like many things in life, is what you make it. Before on-demand food delivery, there was a code of conduct for what type of foods restaurants delivered, and for good reason. Pizza and Chinese have always been the top two delivery-approved foods, as they travel well.

However, with the rise of apps like DoorDash, the range of foods available for delivery has changed, and not for the better. Delivery sushi? Fine. Delivery fast food? Depressing. Delivery steak tartare? Have you lost your mind?

This is a lesson X user Denislav Gavrilov learned the hard way after he ordered steak tartare off DoorDash, assuming the image was AI and that the “egg + meat would come prepared.” The product and tech designer posted an image of steak tartare in a to-go container, baffled that he had wrongly assumed his food would come “cooked.”

His commenters weren’t nice either, blasting the tech bro for not knowing what steak tartare is and further admonishing him for actually ordering steak tartare off of DoorDash.

However, knowing X, it’s probably just rage bait, at least I hope so.
