When Bad Bunny announced that he would be playing the Super Bowl halftime show, everyone felt the need to share their annoying opinions about it. For some reason, everyone from musicians to political commentators felt compelled to weigh in on whether one of the most popular artists in North America today would do a better job than Maroon 5.

Now, Ken Casey of the Dropkick Murphys has chimed in. His thoughts? Bad Bunny’s good to go — because he was pretty good in Happy Gilmore 2.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Casey said simply, “I had never really listened to Bad Bunny’s music, but after his performance in Happy Gilmore 2, I will go to the mat for that guy. God bless his heart. He is a true, true American.”
