Have you ever talked your way out of a ticket? Sometimes, you might actually feel like you have a case — for example, driving someone to the hospital, fleeing a dangerous situation or really needing to take a dump. However, sometimes, you just screwed up and are probably legally deserving of a ticket.

Still, some people aren’t content to take that idea sitting down. These people will try all sorts of strategies to avoid a citation: for example, pulling out a Monopoly card.

In Fullerton, California, a man was pulled over for a traffic violation. When the police got to his car door, he handed over his license, registration — and a Monopoly “Get Out of Jail Free” card.

Thankfully, the police thought it was funny. Still, it was ineffective, as police say they let him off with a citation.

Hey, at least it wasn’t jail!
