Florida Schools Are Testing Armed Drones As School Security
This definitely won’t create any problems whatsoever.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has awarded the Texas-based drone company, Campus Guardian Angel, permission to pilot its armed drone program in three Florida school districts. The drones, which will be housed in charging boxes on campus, will be piloted by FAA-certified pilots working out of the company’s offices in Austin.
The idea is this: Each campus will hold roughly 30 to 90 drones armed with glass-breaking hammers and pepper-spray pellets. The drones will be activated by silent alarms placed around campus and will assist law enforcement, like a flying, armed police dog.

Campus Guardian Angel created the drones to assist law enforcement in identifying potential threats, while also helping to “distract, disorient, confront, degrade and incapacitate shooters.” With an inside flight speed of 30 to 50 mph and an outdoor flight speed of 100 mph, these armed drones will be able to cover large campuses in under eight seconds.
Both Florida and Campus Guardian Angel hope the drones will help save kids’ lives; however, the public is concerned about the potential for campus monitors to falsely identify potential threats.
Though surely, no one would mistake an umbrella for something it isn’t, right?
