Chinese Crypto Exchange Offers Free KFC Meals After $19 Billion Flash Crash
That should help.

According to TheStreet, Chinese crypto exchange Backpack briefly offered free KFC meal vouchers to traders affected by Friday’s flash crash. In a now-deleted post on X, Backpack offered to help traders, posting, “We have prepared 200 KFC meal sets, which will be given to users who suffered significant losses during this liquidation, as a gesture of goodwill."
Armani Ferrante, the founder of Backpack, called the offer “absurd” and said it was posted in “extremely bad taste,” blaming the post on a “locally run” X account not managed by him or his company.
The flash crash was triggered by Trump’s announcement of a new 100% tariff on China after U.S. markets closed on Friday. However, Trump rolled back the plan before markets opened on Monday. In total, over $19 billion in liquidated crypto positions were wiped out in the crash.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t think 200 buckets of chicken is going to be enough.
