If you’re going to do crimes, don’t get the parrot involved.

A gang in Blackpool, U.K. was recently broken up and its members arrested. Seeing the amount of evidence that the government had against them, it was really only a matter of time: They seized cash, weapons, lists of transactions with exact prices and more.

However, the one piece of evidence that probably stung the most for the gang members was the one spilled by their pet parrot. According to police, the gang members had allegedly taught the parrot to repeat the prices of goods, and police discovered a video of the parrot saying things like “2 for 25” — a clear nod to the gang’s pricing structure.

Fifteen people in total were charged, and all pleaded guilty. If you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime — and certainly don’t tell the parrot.
