Hey Boomers, Your Gen Z Coworkers Are Recording You
The generational war rages on.

As Gen Z begins to enter the workforce (that is, if they can get a job), the generational divide between them and their older coworkers is starting to show. And according to Fortune, Gen Z’s propensity to film themselves in the office is rubbing their coworkers the wrong way.
“9-5” content creators, as they’re known on TikTok, have found that filming mundane tasks, like getting ready for work or eating lunch, are highly lucrative forms of content creation. They play into the mundane aspect of work and are generally easy to produce as the videos often depict tasks these people would normally do anyway.
While older generations may spend their down time chatting up coworkers at the water stand, Gen Zers are using spare time at their 9-to-5s propping up their phones and filming videos on TikTok. https://t.co/z06A28J5j8

According to Glassdoor-Harris, the number of Gen Zers and Millennials who have second jobs has risen in recent years, with 57 percent of Gen Z and 48 percent of Millennials admitting they have “side hustles.” And unlike in the past, where people worked two separate jobs or even three, Gen Z and Millennials are doing their second jobs at their first jobs.

So don’t worry Boomers, your coworkers aren’t secretly filming you in the bathroom, they’re just recording themselves eating lunch. That’s the good content.
