Bill Belichick and Jordan Hudson have apparently filed 17 different trademarks in court, including for the phrase “Gold Digger,” which the two plan to use as the name for a jewelry and keychain brand. Other trademarks from the filing include “Chapel Bill,” “Belestrator,” “The Belichick Way,” “Trail of Salty Tears” and “No Days Off.”

It’s so very brave of them to capitalize on the public’s opinions of their relationship. And, in fairness, it’s clever enough to utilize the name Gold Digger for actual gold- and gold-adjacent baubles. I’m just not sure it’s the key to consumers’ hearts — even if they’re the ones providing the keychain.
