Things could always be worse. Instead of an all-time high in Google searches for “second job,” we could be seeing an all-time high in people searching for “third” or “fourth” job. So, at least there’s that.

You don’t need me to tell you what is plain to see with your own eyes: The economy is stagnant at best. A recent jobs report by ADP shows the country lost 32,000 private sector jobs in September and amended an August report that estimated an increase of 54,000 jobs down to a negative 3,000 jobs.
