Henry Winkler Thinks Fishing Can Bring Americans Together
Bait, not hate.

America is a deeply divided nation, and while political pundits and TV talking heads are busy working to ensure Americans are more divided than ever, there is one man searching for a middle ground: Henry Winkler.
If you follow Winkler on social media, you already know that he’s a big fan of fishing. Well, yesterday, when the news broke that Charlie Kirk had been shot, Winkler learned about it while out on the lake. Afterward, he didn’t jump to blame “liberals,” nor did he call out Kirk for his inflammatory rhetoric; he simply posted a picture of a lake with the caption, “Look at what we Americans share together.”

I’m not going to tell you what to think or how to feel, but when push comes to shove, there is more that connects us than divides us. And Winkler is right, fishing might just be the only thing Americans can agree on.
